ABOUT SADHANA YOGA / MEDITATION RETREAT CENTRE
In
1998, after a 10 year yogic and spiritual journey, Asanga
decided to begin his own school of Hatha Yoga and Meditation.
Asanga felt great spiritual energy resounding from a
beautiful hill just outside of Pokhara lakeside, which
was chosen as an ideal location for the school.
Surrounded
by gorgeous mountains and overlooking the second largest
lake in Nepal (Fewa Lake), the school is hidden amongst
the trees. Birds wake you up in the morning, not the
traffic. Eagles lift your head during the afternoon
and you always breathe fresher. The sun shines from
early morning to late afternoon over the wonderful views,
which are just in front of you.
Sadhana
Yoga offers a welcoming family environment with fantastic
home cooked food, hot or cold shower, endless cups of
Sadhana’s
delicious herbal tea and laughter all the
while.
Sadhana
Yoga welcomes all to come - feel purified, stretched,
relaxed and take the time to realise...

THE
TEACHER
Asanga (Amar Puri) has travelled extensively throughout
India following many spiritual masters. For the past
18 years he has dedicated his life to the study of Hatha
Yoga and Ayurvedic principles. Asanga was a long time
disciple of Dr. Yogi Vikashanand at the Ananda Yoga
Centre, Kathmandu/Nepal, where he specialized in Yogic
cleansing, asanas, spiritual healing, naturopathy and
was the principle Yoga teacher. He then went on to study
Naturopathy and Yoga therapy with the Indian Board of
Alternative Medicines in Calcutta, India and gained
a Bachelor Certificate.
In 2002, Asanga married his wife Durga. Durga is now
an integral part of Sadhana Yoga. Durga leads the chanting,
the Yogic cleansing and enjoys cooking food from the
organic garden (grown by Asanga). Durga has a welcoming
smile to all and is passionate about having fun, laughing,
dancing and sociaizing. Combined with Asanga's wealth
of knowledge, gift for teachings, great sense of humour
and dynamic personality, together they co-create the
"SADHANA YOGA EXPERIENCE".
