Anyone who is interested in these life transforming courses can attend according to the time table mentioned below. Daily Hatha Yoga Classes

 

For those who have limited time and would like to experience the benefits of Yoga we also offer daily classes. This includes Yogic Cleansing, Hatha Yoga and breakfast or lunch. Classes begin at 8:30 am each morning.

Yogic Cleansing and Stretching - 1 day/2 nights

 

This course is the shortest course to experience yoga and a bit of cleansing at Sadhana Yoga. One can drop in on any day and join with the group in progress.

Introduction to Hatha Yoga - 3 days/4 nights

 

This is an excellent introduction to the principles of Hatha Yoga. You will learn many pre-asana (pre-posture) practices and more than 20 different asanas (postures) andbreathing techniques. You will also get to experience Yogic Cleansing and deep relaxation. This is one of the tailor-made courses especially for trekkers. Trekkers can come before trekking to stretch and strengthen muscles and joints or to learn breathing exercises to help with acclimatization. Sadhana Yoga is also a great place to come after trekking for relaxation and soothing of sore muscles and joints. Steam baths, mud baths and muscle and joint stretches are wonderful ways to relax the whole body after much strenuous climbing up and down. Ayurvedic massage is provided on request which heals the pains and aches of the body. You are most welcome to visit before and after your trek.

Standard Hatha Yoga Course - 6 days/7 nights

 

Six days at Sadhana Yoga is ideal for those seeking a spiritually uplifting experience. This course will prepare you for a life of Yoga and positive psychological well being. You will learn and practice over 30 asanas (postures) and many breathing techniques combined with Yogic Cleansing and deep relaxation.

Fasting and Gastro-intestinal Cleansing - 6 days/7 nights
also known as SHANKHA PRAKASHALANA

 

Even though there are hundreds of body detoxifying programs around the world, this detoxification process is very ancient and based on yogic science. This detoxifying process is very natural and doesn’t use any medication or herbs; it is simply achieved by your physical and mental effort and fasting.

The purpose of this course is to eliminate the accumulations of toxic waste matter in the intestine, thereby purifying the digestive system and the whole body. Yogic science believes that most problems, physically and/or mentally, are caused by a contaminated digestive track. In order to alleviate this problem we have specifically designed this programme using all the Yoga and meditational activities plus Fasting and Gastro-Intestinal Cleansing. If you want to feel the positive effects Yoga, Meditation, Fasting and Gastro-Intestinal Cleansing can have on your body and lose a few pounds, then this course is perfect for you.

The Fasting and Gastro-Intestinal Cleansing aspect of this programme composes a diet of:

1st Day : 6 Apples (2 for Breakfast, 2 for Lunch, 2 for Dinner), 3 cups of Honey & Lemon water with each meal and unlimited amount of water & herbal teas.
2nd Day : 3 Apples (1 for Breakfast, 1 for Lunch, 1 for Dinner), 3 cups of Honey & Lemon water with each meal and unlimited amount of water & herbal teas.
3rd Day : 3 cups of Lemon and Honey water (1 for Breakfast, 1 for Lunch, 1 for Dinner) and unlimited amount water & herbal teas.
4th Day : Gastro-intestinal flushing
5th Day : Back to normal diet and yoga
6th Day : Back to normal diet and yoga

Note: On the fasting days participant can join for the yoga, meditation and any other activities as far as their energy allows, but on the 3rd day of fasting one shouldn't force much for the physical activities.

Intensive Hatha Yoga - 21 days/22 nights

 

Through this course the mind, the emotions and the whole personality are cleansed of all the complexes and the patterns of behavior which cause pain and suffering. One can attend this course after completing the “10 day Yoga Holiday in Nepal” (see below) in which participants will do a yogic cleanse and be introduced to the basic program.

Yoga Holiday in Nepal - 10 days/11 nights

 

A truly unique and transformational 10 day course which allows you to completely submerge yourself into the deep rooted traditions and ancient arts of Yoga, Cleansing and Meditation through a systematic technique based on Yogic science and Asanga’s (the founding principal) wealth of experience.

Principal teacher Asanga himslef runs the yoga and meditation classes, whilst the rest of the programs like Chanting, Karma Yoga and the preparation of all meals will be handled by our highly experienced team.

Pre-Teacher’s Training Course - 45 days/46 nights

 

This course is for anyone wishing to deepen their knowledge and practice of Yoga, with a view to becoming a Yoga teacher. Participants will be shown how to teach in a systematic way with opportunities for practical teaching practice

This course will be completely different from any other courses, but one has to attend the 10 day Yoga holiday course before they can begin this course. In the Pre-Teacher training course 18 different lessons will be taught, 3 different lessons each week. One has to practice each lesson for 2 days independently, repeating each lesson at least 6 times in those two days. The 7th day will be a holiday.

Sadhana’s Cookery Course – 1 Day

 

A fantastic opportunity for those of you wishing to learn how to cook traditional, healthy Nepali dishes based on Ayurveda.

We have introduced this one day cookery course, due to popular demand, where Durga (a trained cook), will take you through all of the Nepali spices and different cooking methods.  You will then be given the opportunity to pre-pare and cook 10 different healthy Nepali dishes based on Ayurveda.
